Ohtake Ceiling Panel
The Ohtake Ceiling Light translates the power of organic geometry into a luminous composition with a sculptural presence. Designed by Ruy Ohtake for Scatto, the piece features metal discs in various proportions, connected by delicate rods that seem to float in space with architectural lightness.
Indirect lighting highlights every surface in the room, creating soft halos that transform the ceiling into a vibrant and sophisticated surface. The Storm Beige finish enhances the light fixture’s contemporary aesthetic, balancing minimalism and character in an elegant and timeless visual style.

Ruy Ohtake
Ruy Ohtake (São Paulo, São Paulo, 1938). Architect. He graduated from the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAU/USP) in 1960. While still a student, he set up a firm with a civil engineer and completed his first projects. Shortly after graduating, he founded the Ruy Ohtake firm in 1961 and designed single-family homes, as well as residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings—both public and private.
He carried out urban projects for which he received several awards, including the Carlos Millan Award, presented in 1971 by the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB) in recognition of his body of work. In 2006, he was honored by the same institution with the Golden Necklace Commendation, presented at the 18th Brazilian Congress of Architects, for his contribution to the development of architecture in the country and to the IAB. In addition to his work as an architect, he served as president of the Council for the Defense of Historical, Archaeological, Artistic, and Tourist Heritage (Condephaat) from 1979 to 1982.
As a professor, he taught at the School of Architecture and Urbanism at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (FAU/Mackenzie) from 1963 to 1964 and at the School of Architecture and Urbanism at the Catholic University of Santos (FAU/Santos) from 1970 to 1995. At this institution, he was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus in 2007.
